Butterfly is rumored to be Bariloche’s fanciest restaurant. The interior is modern with white tablecloths and minimalist decorations.  There is a  huge window overlooking out onto Lake Nahuel Huapi. There are only seven tables, which makes reservations a must. The menu offers a tasting selection of seven courses, which includes a good range of both local and international dishes such as gazpacho, salmon, steak, and fondue.

El Boliche de Alberto is most famous for the size of the steaks.  Serving classic Argentinian cuisine  – not only are the steaks enormous but they are also great in quality as well as price. El Boliche de Alberto has a good wine selection, with the design of the restaurant styled like a wine-cellar, providing a cozy ambiance.

Finding good food when on a budget can be an adventure.

Holly Restobar is a popular spot for young backpackers.  It has great prices and outstanding lake views. Open for any meal of the day, the menu offers classic Argentinian fare such as empanadas, pizzas, and seafood. The main selling point of the restaurant is its location, perched right on in the edge of the lake and in a peaceful spot just a short walk from the center of Bariloche.
