What to Eat
Ushuaia, Patagonia, Argentina

Fine dining at the end of the world!  Why not eat deliciously and elegantly prepared French food while you are basically starring out at Antartica.  Chef Ernesto Vivian’s vision begins with the freshest of everything and service is impeccable. The tasting menu features two starters, a main dish and dessert, with standouts such as king crab and spinach chowder or black sea bass in blackened butter.  Welcome to the mecca of amazing seafood.

Chez Manu

French chef Manu Herbin gives local Argentinan seafood a French touch and creates some of Ushuaia’s most memorable meals with views to match. Perched a couple of miles above town across the street from the Hotel Glacier, the restaurant has stunning views of the Beagle Channel. The first-rate wine list includes Patagonian selections, while all dishes are created entirely with ingredients from Tierra del Fuego. Don’t miss the baby scallops or the centolla (king crab) au gratin.

El Viejo Marino

We asked a handful of locals where the best crab in town was and they all directed us down to the waterfront to El Viejo Marino.  This super friendly and casual place exceeded our expectations!
