What to Eat
Venice Beach, California

Plant Food And Wine

The food is excellent, and while it is vegan cuisine, many non-vegans spend their nights here in the garden under the lit up trees enjoying the food and atmosphere on one of Abbot Kinney’s hot spots.  The outside patio is worth the trip as it makes you feel like you’re eating in some kind of magic forest.

The hottest neighborhood hangout in Venice, ironically named Neighbor is the best place to grab a creative cocktail on a night out or dinner.  They are also my favorite brunch spot on Abbot Kinney.  Neighbor’s vibe is very South Beach – very modern and airy, with comfortable, plush lounges and long wooden communal tables that are perfect for big group celebrations.  If you want to dine on the back patio you will be surrounded by the neighboring community gardens under romantic lighting.  Neighbor is a very exciting place in Venice, with many wonderful things to come.

This hot dog hot spot is a great night out for a super casual meal and a beer.  It has an order-at-the-counter set up where they serve excellent fancy sausages along with the best fries in the city. Once you’ve ordered in the tiny room up front, head to the huge back room, take over a table, and try and get through as much of the giant beer selection as you can.
